This international event addressed the important issues of job opportunities and women empowerment in the energy sector.
In conjunction with the event, Ms. Wiegand-Jackson highlighted the inauguration of the CWEEL – Tunisia group in conjunction with AEE’s Tunisia chapter. Ms. Wiegand-Jackson presented on strategies and the importance and value of gender equality in the industry and the role that the Council on Women in Energy & Environmental Leadership (CWEEL) serves for the Association of Energy Engineers and the industry. Ms Wiegand-Jackson met with the CWEEL-Tunisia leaders and was inspired by their desire and commitment to improve opportunities for women in energy in their country.
