Laurie Wiegand-Jackson was in attendance at the Annual Meeting of the West Virginia University Academy of Chemical Engineers in which she was inducted in 2022.

While there, she met with the AEE WVU Student Chapter to discuss the group’s mission, their plans for the upcoming year, and growth strategies.  She also provided some insights into career paths and her personal journey.  With Ms. Wiegand-Jackson’s support, the AEE Student group started last year under the WVU Chemical Engineering Department. The group is hoping to participate in some competitions in the next 1-2 years, start a metal recycling campaign on the engineering campus, and sponsor a table at the annual WVU Earth Day event.
